so whats the DD for swallowin difficulties? we are not neurology residents, so i suppose not a requirement to list all types and levels of strokes.What else?

1. CA esophagus
2. Achalsia
3. Scleroderma
4. Esophageal stricture
5. Mitral valve disease (enlarged LA can compress esophagus)

Work up
1. upper GI endoscope
2. Barium Swallow
3. ECG
4. Echocardiology
5. CBC with differential

how about MS? CVA?

Work up-
should include Anticentromere AB (since scleroderma is in DD)? #1 is Gastroesophagoscopy.

PE should include Cardio,neuro and HEENT (throat) exams
