are the patients with brain abcess afebrile?
can anybdy explain to me the totaly # points :q book IM test 7 qs 10 and qs 34?
what am i missing?

I think they can be afebrile, they would present with SOL.

I had the EXACT same problem jil. I looked up Harrison and it says that 50% of the patients with brain abcess are afebrile and 50% are febrile. So, I guess that leaves us hanging in mid-air. What say you?

well,i don`t say too much,me personaly i would have said that they are febrile
i just hope i`m not gonna get qs about BA on my exam(when i picked the right answer for. ex i did only because i excluded other cause for febrility reasons,now i don`t know any more,from the clinical description may be anything)
