After eating,a 40 YO has vague discomfort in the RUQ of abdomen.Ultrasonography discloses calculi which beleive to be cholesterol gallstones in the gallbladder.She begins oral therapy with ursodeoxycholic acid.Which of the following is best rationale for this ntreatment?

i didnt hear about this
but logically gallstone due to either too much cholestrol or low bile
so answer is ---3

This Q.was posted earlier 2-3 wks ago with 50 other NBME ques.
I think it is C too.B/C ursodeoxy.solubilizes cholesterol in micelle and causes dispersion of choles.to aqueous media.So I guess C but not sure.

yeah it decreases chole. and increaseses bile acid
