Young patient with generalized weakness and nocturnal leg cramps. Dx?
1. Renal tubular acidosis
2. Hyporeninemic hypoaldosterone

hyperchloremic hypokalemic mettabolic alkalosis so ans is

renal tubular acidosis

in 2 there will be hyperkalemia and acidosis

3 also

this looks like hypokalemic periodic paralysis . so my answer is 4

yes, it is acidosis, looks like renal(urine pH). (in 2 and 3 ther will be hyperkalemia).

rx is potassium citrate

this type 1 acidosis is related to nephrolithiasis as a complication

the causes arehereditary sickle lithium autoimmune/ cirrosis
