how many blocks on day and Day 2 - drnewyork1

can some one please explain how many blocks on day one exam and on day 2 with CCS exam

on day1 there are 6blocks 42-43 items each running at 1 hr/block while on day 2 i believe you will have 6blocks as well with 33 items at 45mins/block

my exam is on dec 31
also do u know on the ccs in the real exam, that when u do a consult
is it like uw where they never tell u anything
or do the surgeions tell the procedure to do in the real exam.

Mine too - Day 2
Usually (this is my third timeSmile, so usually Day 2 first part is 5 blocks of vague clinical questions, something like the Clinical Practice part (supposedly) of UW, but more vague. Shorter number too.
Then follow the 15 - 18 cases. Don't freak out, is the cases end prematurely. Probably you've been doing it all correctly.

Regarding the consults, they don't tell you anything specific, but if you order a procedure, which is appropriate, I think they'll automatically do it. The whole idea, as far as I understand it, is to know when to consult. Remember, on this exam we are supposed to be Family Practitioners...
