If you Running from the START MENU use "NBME Test Delivery System" or if running directly from the folder run fredv2orient.exe.

@pth. Thanks for replying. I already purchased UW online did almost 90% of mcq and started reading 41 cases for now. I was thinking that there is a way to practice those UW CCS cases on primum software. Thanks for advice

@ram10 go to start menu on windows (on a left down part of screen) search firewall lots of firewall option will come out choose allow a program through Windows firewall after that scroll screen down find your fred and check and click ok . Hope this helps. If not write back here

if you're running a p2p program like a torrent downloading service .. turn that off .. anything that shares your connection with other people will disrupt the software from launching.

also its not your antivirus, but rather firewall .. go into windows firewall setting / advanced settings.. select specific programs to be allowed through the firewall.. you should check the box for nbme program (if available) or fred software .. save settings .. restart comp. and relaunch program .. it should work.

as someone already mentioned earlier: just start the fred software twice with two 'fred software'-windows open. the first one will show the already familiar error message, the second will run as desired. at least worked in my case. best
