are you talking about the Mount Sinai mini residency program?? I interviewed there on Jan. About half of the applicants I met during the interview had done the mini residency and they all knew a lot of the attendings and the PD. I think they probably were ranked high, they seemed very confident. I interviewed in 12 programs, i ranked MS 11th. There is not a lot of research, and most of the fellowship opportunities are in the Jackson Memorial, but no anywhere else from what I gathered. I think the mini residency is a good chance to get USCE and LORs, but I think you have to pay to get accepted (not sure). If you don´t have USCE you should definetly go for it. The hospital is very nice, beach side and all, but is not very academicly oriented. Gl

I can tell u from personal experience that if u r looking for LOR and obviously for US health care system at a glance, just go for it.
bye.

would you suggest it, even if you had already US clinical experience? I mean if u just needed sometihing from now, till next match, (if you didnt match,) and so needed to do something clinical related.

Is there any advantage to get into the program you have done mini-residency with? Any experience with this matter?
Thanks
