Dear All,
Step 3 is the most brutal exam, it will test your mental strength at maximum so be prepare to face the music! I have prepared for two months.
First time UW 62-65% (timed non tutor mode)
Second time UW (timed, Tutor mode)
CCS twice
First aid
kaplan q book score 75-80%
Step 3 score 219/92
Background: Graduate 1998 FMG
Step 1: 83 (2002)
Step 2:84 (2002)
step 3 failed twice(2003)
Completed ED residency outside US in 2008
I mostly relied on UWORLD I think it helped me a lot I did it twice both sections, I would recommend every one who want to achieve a decent score. Its a great source and it will test your abilities at maximum like the real exam. I have not done any simulated exam because I do not had the option to extend the test date.. Please focused on UW all the answer choices and read the explanation this will help you
This is really a very brutal exam I was not completely satisfied with my performance on questions, however I was confident that I nailed the CCS, I have completed all the cases very fast ( Scored reflected star performance)
Take home:
UW works best, it will really prepare you for the real exam
Do CCS at least twice
