you can have residency in georgia but you need to have reciprocity for state license from texas to georgia when your done with your residency ,otherwise you can not practice as a junior consultant/specialist in your field. some states are strict becuase passing step 3 will grants you full pledge state license as physician ,whereas passing only step1,step2 ck and CS- or ECFMG certified will only grant us provisonary license which is only for training use and under a direct supervision of state board certified MDs.
