I am an IMG graduated in 2000, My USMLE scores are 90 in step 1 and 83 in step 2. I have the Green Card. I haven't taken CSA yet. I will take it in December, which is the earliest date available now. I didn't do any research yet, neither have any US clinical experience (except that I worked as an EKG technician in a big hospital to pay my bills) can someone answer my questions:
1- Should I apply this year with the pending CSA assuming that I may pass it in the first time and the results and the ECFMG certification should be ready prior to match date?
2- Which programs and specialities should I apply for? should I only apply for Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, OR I can apply for higher ranked ones as Surgery, and ER?
3- If I apply now, would hospitals offer me interviews while not having ECFMG Certificate yet?
