Hi,
I ve a couple of doubts.
What shall be the dx for drug refill case? I mean what we tell the pt and what we write in the 5 lines in pn note?
Can you tell me what q to ask for accident case? I think its given in new fa but i ve the older one.

I'm asking because I think it'd be important to know the exact failure rate at the moment. In FA it says it's 14% in IMGs.

1} It can be done in 21 days-if you practice it sincerely for about 8-10 hours
2} I feel stick to FA and add extra cases from UW
3)FA:Thoroughly read section II encounter and practice all 31 cases.Finally in last three days read mini cases too.Practice pattern of PN from it.
4} Nops-Partner is must -get somebody from your family members.Don't commit a bluder by practicing alone.It is ESSENTIAL

50 yo wm here for follow up of his HTN.......
Generally there is always some associated new complaints......they will be described in HPI and DDx
In every case you need to know "OPDFCSAAA"==> Complications like bleeding from ear etc===> R/o head injury==>ask all Q's of neuro as desribed in my notes===> any other complications like SOB==> ask for the same==> explore pain in chest and abd===>pain means LIQRAAA ===> Like that .It should be spontaneous.If you practice well and again and again,Q's in all situation will be on your tongue and with your common sense you may use any set of Q's anytime.THIS IS THE THING WHICH WE WANT!

OFFICIALLY WHILE RAISING STANDARDS IN JULY 2007-ECFMG said that failure will be increased by 7-8% in acse of IMG's.Refer ECFMG news teller.
So after July 2007,ECFMG expected failure of 23% in case of IMG's.
Though they have not declared anything official about new failure rate after that but as per the observation of various forums it appears exceeding >30%.
For official figures you need to wait till ECFMG decares that.

however,I feel overexpecting it may motivate you to prepare even beter.

thanks for your respond. I was aware of what that ECMG newsletter and the 7-8% increase in failures. Anyhow, I have to agree with you in that the impression overall, especially based on forums, is that many people are failing, including people who presumably did very good in step 1 or 2CK. What has been missing is that those people post more about what they thought went well. It really worries me that many times, people who pass and talk about their tests mention all the tons of mistakes they did, but somehow passed. On the other hand, those who fail many times say they did all mnemonics religiously. It's really complicated this thing.

In any case, we just have to wait for the scores and see ourselves.
