that's interesting cuz I thought Clopidrogel was just an alternative to Pts w/ Aspririn Contraindications

Clopidogrel is better than aspirin, so aspirin fails, u give a trial of clopidigrel

hey cd 45 what is the source of question
cos in uw there is a similar q uestion that pt on aspirin has TIA then u give him aspirin + dipyridamole

yes ben they have given clopidogrel in the choice and the explanation given is used if allergic to aspirin

Dipyridamole inhibits platelet activation by inhibiting phosphodiesterase. The use of dipyridamole alone has increased the risk of recurrent events although there may additional benefit in terms of decreasing cerebrovascular events when it is used in combination with aspirin.

sammy read this and then read choice D Discontinue aspirin and initiate therapy with dipyridamole.

maybe UW said dipyradomole plus aspirin..

i havent done UW yet so wont be able to clarify ...sorry.. if u could post that particular question maybe it would give us more insight.
