if it just involves hospital rounds and clinic .....then would advise sem-casuals like slacks and dress shirt.....
If it involves a dinner.....wear a formal suit....

All weard answers ,Guess if you guys dont want to answer ,pl dont provide with absurd answers.My belief is just dress like a resdients do,was doing externship,so i dressed like other residents did.Anything which makes you sober and decent,U look like a Doc.Thats what i can say.
