and we shud give it to moms who were using it before (AIDS pts)?

Showman please clarify me further: supposing the pregnant lady is + and is at 15 weeks post LMP. her CD4+ count is 550: what to do now ?
AZT or triple drug that includes AZT?

minimal azt.......has to be given from second trimester........then regular monitoring
if cd4 count starts declining go for more clas b drugs

if mother does not want HAART for herself , AZT shud be started by 14 wks for the fetus.
what if mother denies to take it.
shud we go to child protection authority or court

Dear Orthop: since fetus is a part of mom, so we shud go with mom's wishes and no matter wht. i read it in one of uw q,and that was the explanation. go with mom's wishes...even if she wants to take abortion or anything.
