old graduate 1990,img, is there any hope for us? - manya

my scores are I-80/2, II-90/1, CS pass(1st attempt). 12 months of clinical obs in which 3 months etrnship and it is ongoing for year), 6 months reserach and one publication in a reputed journal. Green card. Do I have a hope?. Applied to 250 programs in FM and IM.

Obeservation is to get. Visit a hospital and ask if they allow observerships in any department. But getting Externship is difficult. it is length process. First to get observership and ask after you become very familiar with anybody ask them they offer externship. If the hospital is affliated with university you need to gothrough the series of accepatnces from people. Also you need to pay for the insurance. Externship is hard to get but observership could be relatelively very easy
