Step 2 CK: 99/256, first attempt
step 2 CS: first attempt pass
step 3: yet to take
USCE: 3 months in university teaching hospital, department of IM ( after applying through ERAS)
Research: 27 peer reviewed publications
Graduation year: 2000 (OLD IMG, Major drawback)
Visa status: needs H1b/J1 (biggest drawback)
Applied to : 12 IM, December
Got IV: one only
Match: unmatchedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

my credentials are 94/99/89/passed all 1st attempt ,8yrs since grad,1 month usce ,only 3 interview but matched

pyrimidine,
you applied very late and to few programs, you will definately match next yr or in scramble. You have very good credentials, step 3 and US clinical experience will boost your appliccation.

thanks tipusmle for encouraging words. I could not make it to scramble. You know how scramble is!!!!!!

What do you think about step 3? shall I give step 3 in hurry and aiming for just passing marks so I can use rest of the time finding USCE?

or

should score in 90s again in step 3 by taking more time?

I took step 3 in 3 weeks but scored 78. If you are applying for IM then you need decent scores. My observation is that usually step 3 score is 8-10 percentile lees than step 2ck score.
NBME will help you in making decision.
