A lot of pediatricians start from 80K.
And there is some specialties in which one sometimes should start working just part time because of tight job market, such as pathology and radiology - as a result of this, the salary definitely would be affected.

80 k is bad news. A NP makes 80 to 90 K. A genetic consuelos makes 70 K a year (board certified and with state liscence ) as far as knew the first quartile for Peds (beginner salary ). Is like 120k plus incentives . With that after federal / state / and city taxes is not a bad income to be honest

@step3md : NP probably max out at 80/90k. I think starting salaries for prim care specialities may be low but there are usually other incentives and also with experience there is always a significant rise (I hope).
