why hepatits?
I know patients with hemochromatosis have infections love the Iron :-) like Vibrio Vulnificans,Yersinia Enterocolitica,Listeria

@exam or swamy, you see DEC absorption/orally adm D-xylose into the blood occurs in SI dz e.g. celiac bz of villi are gone. @swamy, u can give testosterone replacement. @captan, chronic HCB & HBV INC iron storage level and worsen liver injury. For unexposed pat on serologic test/biopsy useful guide for vaccine administration (HepB and C ) as prophylaxis on this pat.
