owl: lidocaine acts at inactivated sodium channels:that is why it prefers ischemic /partly depolarized tissue!
good question cos i memorized the fact that ok it acts at inactivated sodium ch but how does that decrease the APD ...can someone please explain?

well dear i thought the same thing .. its a class B drug rt .. so in FA pg 431( 2010) , Lidocaine an anaesthetic .. the MAO says it blocks Na channels .. and prefers esp ACTIVATED Na chanels .. so i kinda got confused ..
