A 17-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis has a slight increase in her frequent cough and production of mucoid sputum. A sputum specimen is obtained and plated on routine culture media. The predominant growths are gram-negative bacilli that form very mucoid colonies after 48 hours of incubation. These bacilli are oxidase-positive, grow at 42°C, and have a grape-like odor.
The sputum also is plated on a colistin-containing agar. After 72 hours of incubation, the colistin-containing agar grows gram-negative bacilli that are oxidase-positive but are otherwise difficult to identify. This microorganism is of major concern. It is sent to a reference laboratory so that molecular methods can be used to identify or rule out which of the following?
A. Pseudomonas aeruginosa
B. Burkholderia cepacia
C. Haemophilus influenzae
D. Pseudomonas putida
E. Burkholderia pseudomallei

thanks so much for the response ..i take a day for 50 qs .. so i guess its gonna take me 4-6 ds for each nbme . ..
as for the annotation .. i didnt add any in fa before .. this is my secong read .. and doing pharm now .. its taking me time again cos this time i m adding it in fa ..am a lot more familiar with kap notes .. and fa looks like the sahara dessert to me now .. so rt now i m trying to add notes in fa and try to familiarise myself with fa ..but it all depends on ur knowledge and confidence on the topic u are doing .. i skip a lot of the qs now cos i know its already in the book .. writing only essential things .. that cuts it a little short

u ve done kap notes so many times .. how many times have u done fa .. did u have any prob .. i mean i m having a lot of prob with fa .. seems like i dont ve any mental pic of fa and so finding it hard to assimilate things fm it , even if i know the facts .. but everybody keeps saying fa and fa ..
i ve done kap ln and videos twice .

@owl i did FA ~3x so far....well early in my studyin before i did UW i did dit 2x n it really helped me understand wat the subs in FA was talking about but was not a detailed review w/n comparing to kaplan..then i did kaplan took notes from thre n also added notes to FA from kaplan were FA talks bout the same topic....then i did UW and wrote ALL notes in my FA...n i repeated this steps many times until i felt i got all the HY notes n concepts down
