q??? -

lol

I told them from the begining that the answer is 5. If the rite answer is A, I am sure it is wrong. or the there is some data missed in the question and not posted. for any couple with normal IQ, semen analysis is the choice.

I think this is one of those step 1 questions, where the right answer is "ask for more info", like those annoying pysch questions.

I would go with A. Besides, the usmle wants you to do the most cost effective stuff first, wouldn't that be a physical exam? I think so, anyway.

i believe that choice #1 2 3 4 are not a most likely answers where as choice # 5 6 are the most likely answers .since we dont have both answers togather (which would be the ideal senario) so i go with choice #6 just because statistically infertility is more common in women than in man

A
because
Becasue examination of either testes or female genitalia alone will not solve the problem.

if they are undergoinng medical examination both sould be checked throughly

answer is #1, first you have to find out what the couple means by that they have had "sexual relations" before you even begin to proceed with physical exam or run any clinical tests. One should never refer, the doc should take care of his pt. himself. (unless a certain specialist can be of aid to the couple, while still under the doc's care)
