Estoy muy confundida. Siento que me paso algo similar a la experiencia que tuviste en el match pasado con el programa en Chicago. Lo unico que le falto al PD de mi primer choice fue darme el prematch. De resto, me envio tres cartas, hablamos varias veces por telefono, me invito a second look, y al final me hablo de que todos alla me consideraban una candidata ideal, especialmente los residentes que me habian tomado mucho cari#o. La PC incluso me dio orientacion respecto a colegios para mis hijos en los dias previos a la certificacion del ROL. No se que pensar. Esto ha sido como un balde de agua fria. Por favor, necesito tu orientacion, que me ayudes a ver que debo hacer, que puede haber pasado, etc. Por favor, te voy a colocar mi correo, briseis09, para que podamos comunicarnos por esa via y asi hablarte en mas detalle. Te agradecere muchisimo tu ayuda.

i got to know that there is a Obgyn program in MO that offers free externship( grab that ). i do not know which one.

Other tips of OBGYN match- route which i took and i matched at a very good univ program

1. apply widely- most of us do, take interviews very seriously, do not leave any stone unturned
2. prepare for interview thoroughly- website called collegegrad.com has interview videos, so prepare with them. though they are not related to medicine but we found them exceptionally useful. prepare notes following them, write ur strong points and make sure u tell them during interview.
3. try some hand in research, like e mail all the faculty of surrounding university programs who publish like 1-2 papers/month, everybody welcomes free data collectors like us, but what we get in return is invluable- university lors, some abstracts, may be some presentations at national level, it upgraded my CV a lot
4. work hard from april onwards till next march doing someting or other, i can be sure that you will match in OBGYN in 2010
