always do barium esophagography first
The most accurate is Manometry
and we do EGD as cancer also presents the same way. So to make sure. Generally in people above 45 with the risk factors.

One more thing Kaplan says EGD in people over 60 yrs and with risk factors. So its 45 or 60? Sorry if I confused you.

well Uworld changed it to 45-50 SO I am sticking by uworld.
also if pt have had the sympt for more than 5 years
with anemia
wt loss
bleeding
