I can probably tell you as much as I know regarding this. Tabes dorsalis - impaired proprioception and locomotor ataxia and usually bilaterally affected dorsal columns patient presents with symptoms below the level of lesion. and they also have positive romberg. Friedrichs ataxia/vit b12 def. affects in similiar way - it affects dorsal column, lateral cortiosinal tract and spinocerebellar tracts and usually seen in patients with Aids or pernicious anemia if it happens to be VIt. b12 deficiency. |
