24 year old girl has large appetite for salt. she estimates that she consumes about 25g. of salt everyday. what is the approx. amount of salt ( in grams) that is excreted each day by her kidneys?

A. 4
B. 12
C. 23
D. 50
E. 250
F. can't determine.

thanx ebna, for the answer....well, it is a correct answer....but i still don't understand... as i am thinking with the concept that 2/3 of the sodium is reabsorbed and 1/3 is excreted then how come ans. is 23?

answer is near to 25 mg
so it is 23

the na intake must equal na excreted
but traces may be needed
so the answer does not need any equation
23 is the nearest to 25
