You see a dying pt who request you to hold his holybook while he is dying. What you would do
1-refuse
2- accept
3- call your attending to hold book
4-walk to other pt

one of the fields i'm applying to is FM. Researching the programs it seems alot of the programs want "hands on experience". I am doing an observership/externship at a family medicine practice (not hospital but a clinic). From what i see on the posts they say it is considered USCE but I don't know. Plus i am gonna get a medical assistant at a pediatric emergency clinic you should try that.

try calling different clinics in FM and see if you can work with them because hospitals are slim to nothing chance of getting hands on experience
