if palpable go for biopsy if you can /ultrasound and then biopsy if nonpalpable biopsy conquer can you tell us

if no mass- mamo
if mass- usg-cystic-fnac if solid < 35 incisional biopsy,>35 excisional biopsy. Thats what I remember ray

my initial diagnostic tests for this pt is as follows:
1. mamogram to search for other hiden cancerous possibility 2. Fine needle biopsy to do a cytological study 3. if cytology is negative, observe. in this case, 3cm mass, excisional biopsy is reasonable 4. US to r/o cystic mass. usually in younger ppl. anyway, i do PE, mamo and FNA to diagnose a breast cancer

mamo definitely is the 1st you will do for this 66 female with a 3 cm breast mass. but FNA is the next thing to do.
