A 25 yr old Primi-gravid woman at her 3 months gestations come to her physician for her 1st prenatal care visit.
She request a amniocentasis " to be better that everything is okay".
No Family History with genetic disorders. Physical and Lab exams show all normal.
Likelihood of finding any abnormaltiy is very low.

Answer ( 4 ) . benefits Vs Burdens
her the Q is not about the autonomy, which the patient's right to pick the right treatment option.
Furthermore, the patients don't have the right to select unnecessary investigations.
