got the step result after four weeks!
prep: 6-7 mths but effective prep last 3 mths
kaplan+ goljan for patho: 4 rounds
goljan audio twice
NBME: all offline 170-180/200 two mths before exam
usmle rescue: 241(86%) .........2 mths befor exam
wikitest: 242(89%)..........2 mths before exam
uworld: offline...........i used it as a learning tool which is very helpful
kaplan qbank: used as learning tool
FA: for the last moment but i dint find it much useful
PEARL: 1.believe in ur self..........u can do it like every1 else
2.stdy kaplan n goljan notes as much as u can coz it covers more than 90% questions.....rest depends on ur clinical knowledge n ur luck as well

Congratulations. Thank you for your inspirational post. Quick question....How old or up to date are your Kaplan notes and Goljan review book? Mine are not the latest, but I know that some things do not change...

i would recommend u to read new editions as far as possible
mine few books were 2006-07 and few 2008-09...........but i read 3rd edition goljan....
i strongly recommend u to read 3rd edition goljan...........as u dunt have to c other website for pathology pics............pics given in book is more than sufficient...........and clinical correlation is also better in new edition
but in general concepts do not change!

couple f my frns who gave d xam recently were saying dat d real xam standard is much higher dan uworld n nbme's...how did u feel?....were dey so difficult? n wat about time management?

have one gud ......motivating .....helpful......stdy partner............i believe its really helpful.......rest depends on u guys!
