IF a DNA strand is given in exam..eg ATGCAA (no other info provided)
we have to assume it to be coding strand ot template strand??????

i think it depends on what they ask....
if they ask what will be the template strand then you have to take it as coding
if they ask what will be the mRNA, then you'll take it as template strand
and you have to assume the sequence given is 3' to 5' unless given
Somebody correct me if i'm wrong

i think that is coding stand , assuming that given 5'to 3 unless they ment;m rna also in same iin the same direction except u for T, the template will be in 3' to 5'
