Hey, guys where are you? I realy need your input. I don't know where to apply.I want to apply for a three year IM program.

apply for both to increase your chances
Categorical = 3 years Preliminary - 1 year

you must apply to a categorical, preliminary positons are just of one year long; categorical are for the complete 3 years

preliminary position is usefull if you intend to do radiology, rad onc etc.
the majority of applicants for prelim. are US grads. Anyway it will cost you nothing to apply .
