To be a patient of Tay Sach, one needs two alleles with alpha mutations, to be a patient of Snadhoff, one needs two alleles with beta mutations. Both are autosomal recessive.
In this case, the kid of that couple will have no chance to be homozygous diseased for either of the disease.
