Regarding study material for step3 - simrit

Hello friends,

I need some help regarding study materials for step 3
What books are essential and must to buy for step 3
Are kaplan lecture notes necessary to study or master the boards enough?
I took my step 1 in 2008 and I am ECFMG certified and Can I take step 3 now as there is some rule that you have to pass all steps within 7-10 years
Can anyone explain to me whether I can apply for residency in the US after passing step 3

Currently I am doing residency in Internal medicine in my home country
Kindly advise on study material and step 3 exam

As for materials for step 3 you can use MTB and uworld. you might also use kaplan notes if you took CK long time ago to refresh your memory. And for CCS cases use ccs.com, uworld or Archer videos .
I am not sure about 7-10 years limit but you can apply for residency in US if you are already ECFMG certified , passing step 3 will increase your chances of getting more interviews.

Yes - Archer CCS and lectures + UWorld Qbank and CCS + MTB notes + practice on USMLE.ORG software, take NBME assessments. This is the master plan that worked for many!!
