Yes saonew is a confusing Qs. For example if you had not DIC, was a Hypovolemic shock.

how likely is septic shock to occur in few hrs.....could it be fat embolism in pul artery......it matches with hypovolaemic and DIC as well

In this case, septic shock could have occurred in a few hours... remember he is diabetic --- ie. prone to infections and the wounds were severe (entry point for bacteria).
I agree that without DIC the answer would have been hypovolemic shock. Correct me if I am wrong
