Beta-adrenergic blockade may blunt or prevent
the premonitory signs and symptoms (e.g., tachycardia, blood pressure changes) of acute episodes of hypoglycemia. Non-selective beta-blockers, such as propranolol, may even potentiate insulin-induced hypoglycemia.
