How to get surgery interviews? - prednisone

To the guys who have applied for the match, I wish you the best.
Could you please those of us who will be applying this year to summarize from your experiences, what you think is necessary to get more interviews in surgery. Thanks

hey buddy, i got 3 i.v.s 2 prelim,1 cat.i dont have a 90s score,88,86,citizen..but..but..but....8mnths surgical externship training..2007 graduate,and devastatingly handsome..lolz...but seriously i dont think u need to a 99er to get surgery i.v.s,i even applied late like on 4th dec,after i got my c.s. result that too only to few prog.,coz i didn't wanted to waste my money...but the high point was my externship exp in surg and decent scores and of coarse citizenship so no visa problems...the cat i.v. the only cat i.v. i got was in prog where i did my externship....am also preparing for step 3 incase i dont match ,will come handy for next year...so try to get as much as ext.ship exp in surgery as possible and if u have contacts ur very much in..if u can get a prelim spot in scramble take it..it will help u next year big time...g.l.

sorry buddy am not suppose to say that...its a position i got through a docs' recommendation.u will find it if u keep applying to different hospitals,if u knw some one it will be more helpful.g.l.
