I'm confused about one of the questions:
A 56 year old man is admitted from the ED for acute MI. He has no identifiable risk factors and no history of heart disease. He had no major complications and is discharged after 8 days. At discharge, which of the following diagnostic tests should be scheduled for the 2 week follow up visit in order to predict most accurately his risk for another MI?
A. 24h Holter
B. ECG exercise stress test
C. Exercise stress test
D. Radionuclide ventriculography
E. Ultrasound of heart
The exam claims C is correct. Is there an error somewhere here? Why have two very similar answers, and then not choose the one that includes ECG stress testing? Am I missing something?
