45 female presents with controlled DM typeII in your office. her current meds include glypizide, metformin, simvastatin. glucose is 256, HBA1c is 9.8. what is your next step

1. regular insulin
2. NPH
3. increase metformin dose
4. increase glypizide dose
5. add rosiglitasone

add rosiglitasone. does rosi interfere with simvastatin?

shouldn't we first try by increasing the doses of the meds she is already taking.....if she is already taking max dose of those meds then we can add rosiglitazone. Any more inputs?
