Question on counseling - kulangot1
#1
Hello people: just have a question: Before doing the counseling on the patient do you ask her/him to go down from exam bed, walk, and sit down on ANOTHER location on the room where there's a physician's desk I beleive and chairs???? Or just counsel the patient right there and then while patient is sitting on the exam bed??? In Kaplan it says you have to "sit down" with patient to counsel him/her. It didn't say where exactly you do the counseling. Time is of the essence, and moving from one place to another takes time on the other hand may loose point if counseling not done on proper location in room. Your opinions greatly appreciated. Thanks

u can do the counselling even when the patient is on the examination table, but make him sit with legs dangling if possible according to scenario, it is a comfortable position.
