or absence of congenital heart disease. Of those with heart disease,
60% survive to age 10 and 50% to age 30. Premature onset of Alzheimer™s
disease neuropathic changes is present in 100% of affected individuals by
age 35. Frank dementia, however, is not detectable in all of these patients
and may not play a large role in mortality.
