Can some one tell me the adv & disadv of J1? I read the previous posts abt visas but didnt get it fully. Is it easy to get a fellowship, if on J1 as compared to H1? I have a few interviews for peds and my dream is to do a fellowship in neonatology.
My original plan was to go for h1, as my husbands company has filed for greencard and v may get it in 3 yrs. But there was a major lay off in his company last week. He was not affected but it was very stressful for both of us.
If I go for J1, my husband can work with J2, IF he lose his job in the future. But if he continues on his present job and green card is approved, I will not b able to accept it.
Some one who understand my situation , pls help me with ur suggestions. necker, Smart doc or any one?
