1. What are common side effects of the quetiapine?
Dizziness, somnolence and orthostatic hypotension are common side effects. Cataract formation associated with long term therapy requires ophthalmologic examination at onset of treatment and every 6 months thereafter. Extrapyramidal side effects are less common than with typical antipsychotics, even at high doses.

2. What are common side effects of olanzepine?
Somnolence, dizziness, nervousness, agitation and insomnia, weight gain possibly leading to obesity and possible association with new-onset Type 2 Diabetes.

3. What significant cardiac arrhythmia is associated with many antipsychotic medications?
QTc prolongation and torsade de pointes.

4. What water balance problems are associated with antipsychotic medications?
Antimuscarinic effects lead to dry mouth and over-ingestion of liquids, and possibly hyponatremia. Water intoxication with atypical antipsychotic agents may also be associated with SIADH.

5. What are the features of neuroleptic malignant syndrome?
Altered mental status (confusion, stupor, coma) with hyperpyrexia, muscle rigidity and involuntary movements, pallor, diaphoresis and cardiovascular instability, and chest wall rigidity possibly leading to tachypnea and hypoventilation, usually occurring within the first few weeks of antipsychotic therapy, with insidious onset over a few days.
