Program asked me if I need prematch during interview?Then they told me that they will rank me high.Should I ask them about prematch through email or is it against NRMP law.What can be the consequeces of doing so.

you MUST ask them for a prematch if you WANT it. Go for it only if you desire it. They have shown you signs that they are intersted...now its your chance.

Harry...I know your desperation is bad this year...write an email asking if they offered positions outside the match....Ask for it subtly...

hey harry,

this is exactly similar to one of my friends who interviewd in a NY hospital.
I dont know if u interviewd at the same place.

The PD almost licked him and told him that he will surely rank him high in list.......and was reluctant to offer prematch as he said he did not want to break the nrmp rules.

Guess what ?

HE DID NOT RANK HIM AT ALL

NEVER TRUST ANYONE.......EVEN THE PD............UNLESS YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HUSHHHHHHHH
