Ive recieved my ecfmg certificate but so far no Iv. If I give up my dream , this certificate has any help other than getting into residency? What fields /programs with which can I use my certificate as an advantage?

someone said that if not going for residency, ECFMG certificate is not worth than a toilet paper :-(
