Hey all,
I arrived to America on monday and they lost my lugagge (where I had all the suits to interview and copies to all my documents, although I have the originals with me). My first interview is tomorrow thursday....any inputs as what to do if my lugagge doesn't arrive today?????

Dont worry-once your luggage is traced they will safely deliver it to your residence.
My luggage was misplaced three times and every time have delivered it to my home safely albeit a bit late
Just concentrate on your interviews-buy a suit outside and if you dont like you can always return it

Tell your interviewers what happened.They understand.I came across 3 people who had similar expereince.Is it US airways or American Airlines.....those idiots!GL.

No, it was returned in 24hours.And let me guess......even after losing the bags they are giving u attitude and didnt even bother compensating or helping you with basic stuff!!!!I hate them.Less developed countries are more efficient than them.

they are being nice to me now, after 3 days, but in the beginning they were not really helpful. And yes it is US Airways. I hope I have better luck in the future or at least that I get to see my lugagge again soon.... :-(

CAME FROM IRELAND FOR INERVIEWS
LUGAGGE LOST LIKE YOU
CALLED THE PC THAT I LOST MY LUGAGGE AINT HAVE SHYT TO WEAR SHE TOLD HIM YOU JUST COME HERE THAT MY CONCERN
SHE GAVE HIM THE WHITE DOCTORS COAT TO WEAR TOLD PD ASSO. P D AND OTHERS THAT WHAT HAPENED WITH HIM
EVERYBODY FELT BAD FOR HIM AND HE DID GOOD IN THE INTERVIEW
2 HRS LATER HIS PEN WAS ON THE PAPER
I WISH U THE SAME IF U LIKE THE PROGRAM
ALL THE BEST
GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEM SELVES!

Just a heads up...please place your important documents in carry-on luggage so you don't suffer identity theft. If you go on CNN or NPR the big story last week was the hundreds of pieces of luggage stolen form George Bush airport (Houston) and found in trash dumpsters around the city. They just arrested 5 people working from a baggage handling theft ring and are thinking alot of the 300,000 mishandled bags from that airport were indeed stolen.
Unfortunately if your bag does not show up they sometimes only compensate you with a measley hundred dollars. Good luck.
