I have no idea how to take step3. Which state board should i register with? I just accepted a prematch and i want to take the step3 before starting residency but the FSMB website shows that all states require you to do residency first. how do people take step3 before residency. PLEASE HELP.

All states require residency first? I don't think so. For example, Connecticut will be fine for you to register for step 3. After getting the permit, you can take your step 3 at your local prometric center.
