I don't think PD appreciate these questions. If he/she is going to rank you high, they will tell you.

General questions you can ask is about hospital history, type of patienets, environment etc. Ask questions which PD can answer happily. Don't ask any questions that put PD in trouble. Do your home work well before deciding, also observe more than talking.

This question should be OK. Instead of "I", you can rephrase as "What are the challenges we face in this program?" or "What are the challenges seniors had?"...
