can you tell me what is the scenario of cellulitis and how did you manage the patient?
I have another q, CCS trichomonasis, on day one after I order all lab works and Tx with meds, patient education ect, how may I get all the lab results and patient updates without schedule patient return to the office after day I?

Hai everyone,
Thanks for the wishes.
I prepared for 6 weeks, more intense for last 10 days.
Swansens was very useful for epidemiology,ethics,paediatrics and obs&gyn.
For cellulitis CCS, case was given as diabbetic recently treated for chest infection admitted for fever,leg swelling,tenderness.DD's were DVT and cellulitis.DVT tests were negative,blood cultur positive.
I admitted the pt and started on IV abx, checked culture sensitivity to change the IV abx, case ended there.
I did not have time to study step2 CK materials, and i have given them away already. So i didn't study them.
GL frends, don't worry about the CCS part until 2 weeks for the exam, MCQ's are more important than CCS.
sECOND DAY WILL BE MORE EASIER THAN FIRST DAY, SO DON'T GET DISSAPPOINTED WITH UR FIRST DAY PERFORMANCE.

Dear bmer,
trichomoniasis vaginal secretion microscopy will be available on the same day.Once u start the pt on metronidazole, anyway u r going to schedule an follow up visit,u can get the rest of the results during that time.In the exam for each investigation u order, u will be given the exact time when the results will be available.So it wont be difficult for u to decide about the follow up appointment time.

As you said here your case ended then did you changed iv drugs to oral?
Did you changed the location of the patient ?
Did you stop the iv fluids which you have to start in some cases ?
or you simply wrote the diagnosis and exit the case.
