A technetium bone scan is very effective in diagnosing osteomyletitis in the early stages.

CT scan is not sensitive enough

Gallium not used for diagnosis

do we use gallium scan for follow up only in osteomyelitis, or there are different situations where we use this procedure?

according to fischer.. first stesp irrespective is do an XRAy.. postive start rx
negative and no soft tissue swelling do a bone scan
negatibe and soft tissue swelling do a mri

so i would go with E
