Hi...
I passed step 3 first attempt/ 77. I was offered a pre-macth position (obviosly I accepted) and they just asked me why did I get such as score (compared w/the rest it was the lowest). I replied that I prepared it only in 1 month, I don't have medical experience (I never did a residency) and that my best way of learn medicine is by experience... Having low score in step 3 doesn't reduce your chance to get a position (In my case it didn't). I think that it is more important for visa issues rather than academic propose... Best of luck..

I do agree till date.In coming years it may hold its own importance to make residency more competetive.Have a blast..USMLE is over for you.
